A house call medical consultation or telemedecine virtual consultation includes :

• The Consultation with a fully licensed family doctor
• Renewal and prescription of medications, at the doctors discretion
• Access to your electronic medical files
• Follow up phone call for test results

Worried that you have a UTI? If you’re experiencing "any" of the below symptoms, you may have a UTI.

• Burning feeling when you pee
• Frequent urge to pee
• Going to pee but only a little comes out
• Cloudy or bloody urine
• Urine has a strong odour
• Pain or pressure in your back or lower abdomen

In this case, the doctor can assess the problem by questioning you, proceeding to a physical examination and may also do a quick home-based test

Yes. The doctor will take the time to question you and proceed to a physical examination so as to determine which, if any, tests are appropriate.

The doctor can suggest the name of some laboratories that can assist you.  The tests may also be administered at no cost at your local CLSC or hospital.

The results are forwarded to our office and uploaded into your secured electronic medical record which the doctor can consult.

We will call you with the results and may suggest further treatment, if applicable

Yes. The doctor will ask you several questions and proceed to a physical examination and can refer you to the appropriate specialist.  Our electronic medical records facilitate such requests to the appropriate health authorities (CRDS) who then complete the process.

Our office staff can also follow-up such request and answer your questions during this time 

Yes. The doctor can renew your medications, under certain conditions.

In some cases, such a renewal can be completed over the phone with you.  While in other cases, a physical examination may be required.

In either case, if the doctor considers it appropriate, the renewal can be immediately sent directly and securily from the doctors' computer to your pharmacy

Yes. Many of our patients have developped a long-standing trusting relationship with the same doctor.

Our offices serve only as an administrative hub, no medical activities can be performed there.

All medical consultations conveniently take place in a home, workplace or hotel

It depends.

If you're a Canadian citizen, most insurance companies will not cover doctor house call medical consultations or virtual consultations.  However, we can provide you with a receipt for services rendered and you may submit this document, at tax season, to the government as part of your overall uninsured health care cost.

If you're a tourist, many insurance companies are more than happy to pay for our services, when appropriate, which are usually less expensive for them than sending you to a local hospital .  We have agreements with many insurance and travel assistance companies so don't hesitate to contact them and tell them you want a house call or virtual visit with one of our doctors.  Normally, they settle the fees directly with us and you do not need to concern yourself with the payment.
